Arctic Byte LLC operates this website and a small number of first-party tools. This policy describes, plainly, what information those collect and what we do with it. It is deliberately specific rather than generic — if something is not listed here, we do not collect it.
Arctic Byte LLC is a solo-founder software company based in the United States. For any question about this policy, or to make a request about your information, write to team@arcticbyte.io.
Two things: this website (arcticbyte.io), and the Arctic Byte Publisher application, which publishes posts to LinkedIn on behalf of the person who authorizes it.
It does not cover information handled inside a paid assessment engagement. Evidence, findings, and customer material collected under an ArcticScore engagement are governed by the contract and any data protection terms agreed with that customer, not by this page.
This site is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no logins, no forms, no shopping cart, and no payment processing. You cannot submit personal information to us through it. What is collected is limited to the following.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G‑LGBJV5E3D6) to understand which pages people read. It sets cookies and records usage events together with a truncated IP address, approximate location, device type, and referring page.
Hosting logs. The site is served by GitHub Pages, which records standard web-server request information, including IP address and user agent.
Third-party assets. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and icons from the jsDelivr CDN. Because your browser fetches those files directly, those providers receive your IP address and user agent. We receive nothing from them.
Our published addresses are team@arcticbyte.io, partner@arcticbyte.io, and press@arcticbyte.io, and our number is +1 (385) 402‑6423. If you write or call, we keep that correspondence so that we can respond and maintain a record of the discussion. We do not add you to a marketing list because you contacted us.
Arctic Byte Publisher is a first-party tool that publishes posts to the LinkedIn profile of the member who authorizes it. It is used by Arctic Byte for its own account; it is not a service offered to the public.
When a member authorizes it through LinkedIn’s standard consent screen, it receives an access token and that member’s LinkedIn member identifier, which LinkedIn requires as the author of any post. It uses these solely to publish content that the account holder has approved.
It does not read your connections, messages, feed, or contact list. It does not collect information about other LinkedIn members. It does not sell, rent, or share what it receives with anyone. The access token is stored in an encrypted credential manager and is never published in our code or documentation. Authorization can be withdrawn at any time from LinkedIn’s own settings, which immediately ends the application’s access.
We use what is described above to operate and secure the site, to understand which content is useful, to reply to people who contact us, and to publish our own posts. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we do not run advertising on this site.
We do not sell personal information. The only third parties that receive information are the service providers that make the site work — Google (Analytics and Fonts), GitHub (hosting), jsDelivr (icons), and LinkedIn (publishing) — each handling it under their own terms. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics. Correspondence is kept for as long as it remains relevant to our relationship with you. The LinkedIn access token is kept until it expires or authorization is withdrawn, whichever comes first.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and you can prevent Google Analytics from running with Google’s browser opt‑out add‑on. Most browsers also offer a setting that blocks third‑party requests, which will stop the font and icon providers from seeing your request.
If you want to know what correspondence we hold about you, or you want it corrected or deleted, write to team@arcticbyte.io and we will handle it. Depending on where you live you may have formal rights of access, correction, deletion, or objection; we will honor those requests regardless of whether a particular law applies to you.
This site and our products are intended for business use by adults. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and change the effective date shown at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
Write to us directly and a person will answer — there is no ticket queue behind this address.
